avery and anouk cowl designs from Quince & Co. are stunning.
Belle Fleur de Lis is so lovely! I love all of her beautiful crochet work.
sweater journal from Upper Tiny. I love any city that allows me to wear sweaters in May!
Cuillere a absinthe is my ideal outfit for the chilly weather in SF last week! Good walking shoes and lots of warm layers for when the weather changes quickly. Next time I visit I will be prepared. :)
Cowgirl Creamery. I tried the poached egg over grits. I loved it so much that I really want to recreate it at home! This recipe for a poached egg over polenta with olive oil pesto from theKitchn looks like a great option!
These finds are inspired by my trip to San Francisco last week. I had such a great time! It really is a beautiful city and I can't wait to visit again. The combination of delicious food, beautiful weather, and gorgeous scenery made for a week filled with great memories.
Upon arrival, Texas greeted me with open arms, severe humidity, and an unfortunate case of allergies. Starting a new week with a stuffy head isn't exactly ideal. Hopefully this congestion will go away soon. Until then, bring on the tea and going to bed early!
How was your weekend? Are you starting any new projects this week? I would love to see!
Enjoy the rest of your day.

The weather was perfect, although, I wish I would have packed a scarf and an extra sweater or two! I appreciated the cold weather because I knew I would come home to a hot and muggy Texas. I can't wait to visit SF again! I will share more photos and stories about the places I visited next week. Thank you again for all of your kind recommendations!
Now it is time to rest a little, do a giant pile of laundry, and get psyched for an exciting week ahead!
I hope you had a great week too! What are you up to this weekend?

The apple and orange potholders remind me of trips to the farmer's market during the summer. I can't wait to visit the local markets again! I really want to drive out to the Ham Peach Orchards for some peach ice cream. ;)
Make sure you check out the June/July issue this month! I hope you enjoy the patterns! :)
How is your week going so far? Thank you for the San Francisco recommendations!

I hope you had a great Mother's Day yesterday! I went with all handmade gifts and made my mom a cake and a card. She loved this black tea cake with honey buttercream frosting from Pastry Affair! It tastes like a cup of tea! My mom is the best. She is so kind, loving, patient, and constantly inspires me to be a better woman. Plus, my love for tea originates from my mom. She taught me well. ;)
I also made her a flower card with a pom-pom and yarn pieces!
I am on my way to spend some time in San Francisco for the next few days! This is my first trip to SF and I hear it is a beautiful city. I can't wait to experience it all for myself! I will definitely share photos from my trip on Instagram and Twitter this week. :)

Knitting // This rainbow of hand-dyed yarn is simply gorgeous!
Crochet // I can't wait to try this crochet hexagon tutorial from Meet Me At Mikes.
Etsy // Nicole Porter's Etsy shop is filled to the brim with colorful home goods, like bowls, spoons, and printed napkins.
Style // I love this 'Blossom Boxer' editorial found via Oyster Fashion."Chill Out" by Telegramme Studio
blueberry muffin ice cream immediately.
First of all, Happy Mother's Day to all of the moms out there! You are so amazing! I don't know where I would be without my mom. :)
It's hard to believe that summer is almost here! Even though the heat isn't exactly my favorite thing, I am always excited about the bright colors and frozen treats that come with warmer temperatures. Also, the snow cone stand in my town finally opened this week. When that rainbow-colored snow cone sign is propped up on the side of the road I know that summer is just around the corner.
This weekend was very busy and I still have some packing to do before I leave town for the week. I will definitely share pictures of my trip on Instagram!
How was your weekend? Did you do something special for your mom today?
Happy Sunday to you!

Yes I planned my outfit...I've had it planned for months. That isn't weird at all! Haha. (My sweatshirt is from Out of Print and my headband is from Giant Dwarf.) I'm not sure what could possibly compare to Gatsby this weekend, but I have a few things planned...
- Gatsby comes first...of course.
- I have some packing to do this weekend! Next week I am going out of town for a few days and I am so excited! It is going to be a great trip. I can't wait to take pictures and explore a new city.
- There is always something yarn related happening over here and I especially love these colors!
That's about it! It is going to be a busy weekend getting ready for a week away from the computer...but I can't wait.
I hope you have a great weekend too! Are you going to see Gatsby? Enjoy!
