This week passed me by in a blur of sniffles, congestion, and sneezing. Don't you love when a cold just comes out of nowhere and gets in the way of a week's worth of to-dos? Ugh. I am finally feeling a little better today even though my head is so stuffy I get dizzy when I walk. Not too fun. So, of course, I thought a little crochet Vitamin C might help keep the sniffly blues at bay.
For me it is easier to create random objects like an orange slice with a crochet hook instead of knitting needles. It is like doodling with yarn! Haha. Does that make sense at all? Instead of drawing the design on paper first I just pick up a hook, some yarn, and see what happens.
I've come to the conclusion that crafting is medicinal. Even when I'm sick it brings a smile to my face. :)
If you are suffering from sinuses too I feel your pain! I hope you get to rest and recharge this weekend.

You are so adorable. Seriously. Feel better, doll!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're feeling under the weather (do you use that expression in the US?) - I hope you're feeling better soon. Yes, crafting is just what the doctor ordered! :)
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain (and sniffles too). I've been battling a terrible cold this week also. I didn't have the genius remedy of crocheting Vitamin C in the form of orange slices though. My next cold better look out... I'll have a crochet hook in hand and whip up a remedy stat! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's so adorable. What a sweet way to pass the poorly time. Hope you feel better soon x

ReplyDeleteOh you poor thing. Hope you feel better soon! Love, love the orange slice. What a wonderful creation! I totally understand about drawing with yarn - I find the same with embroidery. It's on my list of things to do - learn crochet, so hearing it's like drawing (which I agree, knitting less so), is encouraging me to give it a go.
ReplyDeleteIf it's any consolation, I've come down with full on flu, bleurgh :-( I've tried picking up my latest knitting project (burnt orange coloured autumnal jumper) but haven't even had the energy for that! Hoping to give it a go this weekend. That, watch films, and drinks lots tea.
Hope you feel better soon me dear!

I hope you feel better soon hun! I spent the week with a cold as well :/ but I think my most therapeutic night was spent sitting in front of my laptop watching Mad Men and balling up some new skeins. I completely agree that crafting is medicinal (:

I'm sorry that youre sick, and along with everyone else I hope you get better soon :) Whenever I'm coming down with or getting floored by a cold, I always grab some golden seal/echinecea from walmart. it's an herbal blend that boosts immune health to kick that cold's butt.
