I am excited to work on more freelance opportunities, adding patterns and other new things to my shop, and a few other very exciting projects in the coming months! If you need me, you will find me here, my head buried in a mass of yarn or my fingers quickly typing across the keys. This new space, no matter how small, is already inspiring me to work harder and dream bigger.
Do you have a workspace for your craft or blog? I would love to see photos of your space if you blogged about it recently!

This is a fantastic work space and I am a bit jealous of it, regardless how small. I'm working to carve my own space out of a corner as well and this is definitely inspiring. I found lots of inspiration from this (http://www.howjoyful.com/2011/03/lovely-spaces-craft-room/) as well. I love the first and second spaces, and have always wanted to set myself up in a closet like that so the doors could be shut on the mess that will inevitably occur when knee deep in projects. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that inspiration post! I love the idea of setting up a space in a closet of some kind.
DeleteI'm so jealous! This is gorgeous and pretty much my ideal space!

Very cozy + inviting!! I love all your art print + odds and ends!! A very beautiful work space!! xo
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty space! Lots of inspiration!! Is that crocheted scallop pattern something you made up?? Will you be sharing a tutorial about it? It is so cute & I would love to know how to do that! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet space, and so organized!
ReplyDeleteYour posts are always so inspiring and make me antsy to get home and make things. Keep on keepin' on sista!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! You're right to create a dedicated space for your work and to acknowledge how much of you goes into your blog and related opportunities that come up. I share my blogging desk with my sewing table, which I've recently moved to the window in order to make the most of the light - essentially moving my sewing/blogging work to centre stage in the sitting room. Which it deserves!
ReplyDeleteThank you Tilly! Your workspace sounds wonderful. :)
DeleteMy room is my work space. I keep a desk in the corner of my room filled with all my knitting needles, crochet hooks, and other crafty things.

Oh how I wish I had a workspace! I have a laptop on my lap, some bags down the side of my sofa, and things precariously balanced on the arm of said sofa which usually end up on the floor.
ReplyDeleteYour space, however small, looks lovely & very inspiring! I'm sure you'll get plenty of motivation out of it, love your hooks and needles in jars :) x
this is so cute!

i love it! having a dedicated space, even if it's just a corner, can be so very useful in terms of productivity! i really like your striped walls, as well as your little collection of prints!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Even small spaces can be so inspiring. So many sweet little details.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome space!! I love that you have the shelves over the desk part! Oooo and you have the polaroid tape dispenser from Anthropologie!! I definitely want to get that one day!!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes creating in your cool space!

Meredith! Your little work desk is wonderful :) I'm currently in the middle of decoration my workspace and the one thing I don't have is an actual desk. So this is my next step... Thank you for sharing your extra amazing workspace!! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't think I could be any more jealous of you/your creative and awesome life... until now. Definitely so much jealousy goin' on over here over this workspace. Everything I could've ever wanted for a workspace... this would be it. So beautiful. <3
ReplyDeleteIt has to be true that the smallest spaces can hold the biggest dreams, otherwise I am in big trouble! Ha, anyway, I love the cats pajamas print, my grandmother used to always say that and now it is a joke in my family. everything is the cats pajamas. anyway, groovy post. dream major.

Your space is much more organized than mine. My spot looks like a yarn shop had a party across the desk and book shelves. I think it might be time to tidy it again.
ReplyDeleteSO inspiring! I love your corkboard... so colorful. I have a little workspace but I hesistate to do much with it since I'm really hoping to move soon. I am attempting to do more projects in 2013 as well so I'll need a good space. Good luck and can't wait to see what you accomplish!
ReplyDeletei love your work space! It is so cute and organized! I still live in a dorm room so my craft space tends to be my floor. Yours will be a giant inspiration once I do have one though!

ReplyDeletedying over this!!!!
ReplyDeleteit's so perfect <3 !
This desk is to die for! I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteYour workspace is so great! I adore the illustrations above your computer - they are lovely inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI envy your space!!! I really wish I could keep mine organized, >.< I'm so bad at that.
ReplyDeleteIt's so clean! Do you have trouble keeping it that way? I'm pretty neat generally but my knitting tends to morph and grow into this tangled, terrifying mess-creature.
ReplyDeleteI had to do a lot of cleaning and reorganizing for my desk to look this nice! Hopefully it will stay that way for a few weeks, but I'm sure papers and yarn will take over soon. ;)
DeleteLovely! Your workplace is very elegant, yet full of character. I adore the illustrations you've placed up. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently trying to figure out a little space for my crafting. Hopefully it works out soon! :)
Wow! That space just inspired me to revamp my own; so cute! I need a few art prints to add some color pops and I love the cute knitting prints that you share from time to time but my primary craft is embroidery and I have had zero luck finding cute embroidery prints (that aren't actually embroidered). Thanks for the inspiration!

ReplyDeleteLovely! ♥
ReplyDeleteThis workspace is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have a much smaller space, but have been in need of a creative corner my whole life. This is the one I just recently pieced together in my room (2nd picture down):
http://sunnydenouement.blogspot.com/2012/11/brownie-heaven.html
It is different to have all my stuff out where I can daily see it as oppose to crammed in my closet where I am always looking for missing tubes of paint. Do you find yourself more inspired by having a designated space as well?
That is gorgeous, what an inspiring place to work! I blogged about my new craft area here:
ReplyDeletehttp://genkiandchips.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/new-craft-studio.html
I've actually done some more organisation and decoration to make it look a bit more pretty, so I need to take more photos!
Meredith, what a wonderful little creative space! :D It's put together with so much love, I love it! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm dreaming of enough space for my creative supplies. I also have a little corner, but it's way too small for all my stuff. ;)
Best wishes, Yoojin
Awesome! I love it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous workspace! I love to be able to see my things out...although since I don't quite have as much space as you do, it's not really possible. I sense some reorganization coming on!
ReplyDeleteI love all the bright colors and inspiring nik naks and prints -especially the Black Apple print of the girl! What a perfect space!

Your workspace looks beautiful Meredith! My sewing print is in such good company up on your wall! So humbled to be part of what inspires you :) I am without my own crafty workspace right now, but hopefully in the near future! Constantly moving puts a stopper on that! I would love to have a little space remotely as lovely as yours. xo
ReplyDeleteWow, that is such a beautiful space! Can I ask how/where you store your yarn? Mine is "organized" into a dozen cardboard boxes at the moment, and I'm looking for some organization inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm trying to have a crafty desk too but it isn't so delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are precious and I want you to decorate for me. :)
